Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

The first version of AutoCAD (1.0) was available in February 1983. Although the software included only a basic user interface, the first release of AutoCAD created many in the CAD industry by establishing a viable, graphical method for drafting and designing 2D and 3D data, such as plans, charts, diagrams, and specifications. In addition, it was the first commercial software application to demonstrate the value of a graphical user interface (GUI), such as mouse and keyboard, and to demonstrate the benefits of CAD drafting compared to traditional CAD techniques.
AutoCAD has evolved from a rudimentary 2D CAD application that enables users to create drafts of simple objects and design layouts to a comprehensive CAD application that includes 2D drafting and 3D modeling, 2D and 3D drawing, and 2D and 3D printing.
AutoCAD is the world’s leading CAD program and has been installed on over 86 million desktops in more than 190 countries. In 2013, over 24 million AutoCAD users collaborated on more than 7.7 million design projects across the globe. AutoCAD is currently available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Arabic, Korean, and Dutch.

CAD applications, such as AutoCAD, have many features that can benefit users. The following list is not complete, but rather lists the main features that are available in AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT. To find out more about these features, see the user guides and the AutoCAD Help window, which are available in AutoCAD LT and in any other AutoCAD application.
Tools: The most widely used features in AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT include the ribbon, which provides access to commands by function; the command line; and special commands, such as the History, Save, and Save As commands. The toolbar provides quick access to buttons on the ribbon. All buttons on the ribbon can be dragged to a specific location on the screen. The Home tab on the ribbon contains the 2D AutoCAD Commands.
Tabs: The tabbed interface allows multiple views of the same drawing. The tabs are generally organized in such a way that you can easily switch to and work on a specific view. You can switch between views by clicking a tab.
Ribbons: The ribbon provides a

.NET has had a major upgrade of AutoCAD in 2009.
Like many drawing programs, AutoCAD can handle multiple types of file formats. With the.DWG and.DWF files, a drawing is stored as a collection of lines, polylines, arcs, text, objects, geometric symbols, etc. within a fixed grid.
AutoCAD has many functions for drawing, including dash and gap settings, line types, pen pressure, angle limits, hatch and mask settings, annotations, editing, etc.
The external drawing format is a vector image format that supports both wire and fill color. They can be compared to a.PDF file. These files can be printed or displayed.
Unlike most drawing programs, AutoCAD has very good support for bar and column charting, gantt charts, and a number of other charting formats.
Autocad excel is the newer version of excel to be used as a drawing tool.
AutoCAD can also import and export information into and out of Microsoft Excel.
The AutoCAD.XML format is a document format that can be used to store comments, task lists, etc.
Metadata and drawing
AutoCAD’s.DWG and.DWF formats are not only used to store drawings, but the.DWG format is also used to store metadata about the drawing. Metadata includes things such as layers, rules, dimensions, annotation layers, markers, text, etc. and is used to manage and archive drawings.
Drawings can also be archived in other formats besides.DWG. Some of these include.DGN,.SGN,.VGN,.XML,.PNG,.XLD, etc.
Drawing exchange format
DXF, the Drawing Exchange Format, is a vector image format that is used to exchange drawings between different programs. It was originally a specialized format for AutoCAD. DXF is widely used with other CAD systems.
A geometric symbol is a representation of an object in AutoCAD. This can be used to show the change of shape of the object over time. Geometric symbols are separate objects within the drawing and can be used as a stand-alone item.
An annotation is a note, comment, etc. in a drawing. Annotations are usually only inserted into the drawing by the user

A recent report states that there are approximately 1,200 violations in the State of Michigan. The regulatory body is being dubbed as ‘Consumer Protection’.
The government’s Consumer Protection Department’s priorities include:
Failing to give consumers a complete product description and pricing
Failing to inform consumers of product defects
Failing to give consumers full disclosure of advertising claims
Advertising claims and rates that are too high for the products being sold
The government is also focusing on the financial practices that are being used by financial institutions:
Failing to disclose the reason for any rate increase
Failing to provide a loan-to-value ratio when they advertise a lower rate
Offering “unappealable” options that are “inappropriate” or “unfavorable”
Failing to disclose the need for a mortgage counselor
Investing their consumers’ money
The Michigan Attorney General’s Office has already revealed that it intends to aggressively pursue violations that could result in millions of dollars in restitution. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, $75 million in fines were issued to the 12 largest banks in the U.S. in 2009 alone.
According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Michigan has the third largest mortgage debt-to-income ratio in the nation, at 138.2 percent.
In December 2013, the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau informed the Federal Trade Commission of a letter from the Michigan Attorney General, stating that the state is investigating the following practices:
Minimum loan-to-value requirements that would restrict a consumer’s access to homeownership
Minimum loan-to-value requirements that would prevent a borrower from accessing a federally insured mortgage loan
Requirements that would limit the number of times the consumer could refinance during the life of the loan
Minimum loan-to-value requirements that would prevent a consumer from obtaining a loan to purchase or construct a manufactured home
Use of adjustable-rate mortgages and mortgage insurance payments as payments on a mortgage
Use of prepayment penalties
Use of initial fees and loan-servicing fees
Requirements that would allow appraisers and lenders to use appraisal fees as a percentage of
